Marilyn Hurst

Marilyn Hurst is well-known for her charming, fresh, and lively landscapes of Southern Oregon: its homes and barns, its flora and fauna. In paintings of watercolor, pastel, and oil, she demonstrates an assured compositional ability and command of technique. Growing up in Dayton, Ohio, and now a Medford resident, Marilyn has loved both art and the outdoors all her life. She has studied with nationally-known artists, won numerous regional awards and shown in state shows. She paints with the Artist's Workshop and is a member of the Watercolor Society of Oregon, the Southern Oregon Society of Artists, and the Rogue Gallery. Her work appears at Art and Soul Gallery, the Rogue Regency Inn, and in many private collections. Hurst deeply values the support her family, friends, and the local art community have given her. She hopes she has given back a bit -- by trying to instill her own point of view in her representations of our beautiful region.
