Cheryl Lynn Colwell

Growing up in California and living in Texas and Oklahoma, there was always inspiration from the landscape and architecture. The subjects for my oil paintings have generally been of places where I would like to be.

In 2006 I began to work with mixed media collage and assemblage. It has been the most freeing process I have yet discovered for expressing my experience of life. The goal in my work is to portray the beauty and passion in life–then to invite the viewer into this experience.
